”There is simply never enough time.” “There is always too much to think about.” Phrases I used to say on a regular basis. That was until I started implementing certain daily rituals and weekly routines.
What I’ve actually discovered is these words will exist in your life if you haven’t started a daily routine moving you in the direction of your goals and dreams. You see, motivation is slowly depleted during your day as both psychological and physiological fatigue come into play. Therefore, it’s imperative to take full advantage of your productivity each morning.
For me, before I even let my feet touch the ground in the morning I start my day with gratitude. First, I say thank you for another amazing day and then I say three things I’m truly grateful. Followed by a brisk morning walk with my husband and our little dog Hailey where we love to discuss our intentions, goals, and dreams. By 7:30am I do my workout, then head for the shower with an audio self-help book playing.
Not only do I have a disciplined morning routine to set my day up for success, but I also have a favourite weekly ritual that I love to do. I write a new, powerful motivational quote on my office chalkboard.
You see, the way I look at it is successful people need to prime their brains for success, and this can be easily achieved by having daily morning habits and rituals. It truly helps me focus on what I do best.
As you become successful, whether it’s financially or in mastering a craft, you will realize that time is your most precious commodity. So, come up with routines, rituals, and habits that simplify your life and focus your time.
